WWII Documentary Premieres at Upcountry History Museum

GREENVILLE, SC -- One of the three areas of community history highlighted at Greenville, SC’s new Upcountry Museum is the Upcountry home front during WWII.  This documentary, produced with Fern Creek Creaive, showcases oral interviews with upstate residents.  Aardvark Interactive Studios captured32interviews with WWII veterans, family members of veterans, and members of the general population of Upstate SC.  In one interview, a Greenville native told of the diary that she has kept since she was a child.  Another interviewee relates his war experience as he served under General Patton.  Others tell of their role in the war effort as they worked at a local textile company, Stone Manufacturing, where they constructed parachutes.  The inclusion of these oral interviews demonstrates the museum’s belief that the history of a community is everyone's story and that all voices must be heard for the story to be complete.
