For the fourth consecutive year, local multimedia and video production firm Aardvark Interactive Studios teamed up with the South Carolina Silver Crescent Foundation in honoring South Carolina manufacturers who demonstrate excellence through their economic impact, commitment to the workforce, and involvement in the community.

Aardvark worked with the three winning manufacuring companies to develop video presentations highlighting the companies' accomplishments. Aardvark's team of video professionals conducted video shoots at the winning companies' facilites, edited and produced the final two-minute videos for the Salute to Manufacturing Luncheon event.

The South Carolina Silver Crescent Award for Manufacturing Excellence is awarded annually to one manufacturer in each of three categories: small (up to 100 employees), medium (101-499 employees), and large (500 or more employees).

This year's Silver Crescent Awards were presented at the annual Salute to Manufacturing Luncheon on May 17, 2006 at the Palmetto Expo Center. The luncheon is held in conjunction with the Advanced Manufacturing & Productivity Exposition and Conference in Greenville each spring.

"We've been working with the Silver Crescent Foundation since the inception of the Silverr Crescent Award, and it's been an amazing experience to share in the growth of this award, and its goal of recognizing local manufacturing leaders," Benjamin Weeks, principal of Aardvark, said.
